The
reason for this study is that there is no fear of, or respect for, God by
more than a few Christians in the USA today. In order to comprehend such a
statement, one need only look upon the worldly systems that we refer to as
Churches.
In these organizations, there is little or no understanding or recognition of Spiritual authority. Neither is there respect for the age and experience of God's chosen leaders, nor recognition of the call of God in the lives of those leaders. Therefore, there is no fear of, or respect for, God's chosen leaders. The mirror image dictates: if there is no fear of, or respect for, on the horizontal plane, there is no fear of, or respect for, on the vertical plane.
Nearly all the leaders in the organized churches today think they are God's chosen leaders and possess all the power and authority to fulfill their positions. They actually have no power, authority, or anointing, they merely hold a position. And, positional authority breeds only conditional respect. These leaders teach a watered down version of the fear of God which they call reverential fear while they, by their actions and attitudes, teach their congregations the fear of them and their position. The people they teach carry on these traditions of men till all the members of their respective congregations maintain positional attitudes. As a result, the lost choose to stay lost and want nothing to do with our systems. Can you blame them?
A careful study of the Word of God will expose the fact that 99.97% of the meaning of the word "fear" is neither taught nor recognized by most pastors, elders, deacons, teachers or leaders. If leaders understood these meanings, they would not say most of what they say or do most of the things they do. Neither would the people in their churches. Thus, the responsibility for the errant teachings starts with the leadership, but in no way absolves the people in the congregations of their responsibility to search the scriptures to see if what they are being taught is so."

terror, afraid, fear, fearful, etc. There are 10 meanings that have to do
with reverence. These figures equate to: 99.9667% of the meaning of the
word FEAR is not taught or recognized in the Christian Church today. And
only .0333% of the meaning of the word fear is taught in the Christian Church

Perhaps because "There is no fear of God before their eyes" (Ps 36:1), there is so little repentance, so few healings, and no power in our churches. Where there is no FEAR of God, there is no separation from worldy ways. Our churches are merely extensions of the worlds systems run by fearlessly dominant, controlling leaders who set up programs to suit themselves.
Webster's Dictionary meanings of Authority:
Power to influence or command thought, opinion, or behavior. Persons in command. A convincing force.
When a congregation walks out of the door to the church on any given Sunday morning, the teachings are usually forgotten within ten minutes. Those leaders do not influence or command thought (the teachings were forgotten), opinion (one does not form an opinion about something they have forgotten), or behavior (people continue doing as they please). The leaders are neither in command (no one does what they say) nor are they a convincing force (the people are convinced about nothing). Such "leaders" have no God given power and no authority.
Recognition: The ACTION of recognizing. To know, to perceive clearly, to ADMIT the fact of, to ACKNOWLEDGE FORMALLY, to ADMIT as being lord or sovereign, to ADMIT as being of a particular status, to ADMIT as being one entitled to be heard, to ACKNOWLEDGE the de facto (actually, in reality) existence or the independence of (authority). [de facto: 1. Actually, in reality. 2. Exercising power as if legally constituted. 3. Actual. (state of war)].
Recognition is an internal matter. When one knows, perceives clearly, admits (to themselves) the fact of, and acknowledges formally (to others) that another in fact holds and is operating from a position of God given independent authority as though legally constituted; that they have been placed there by God and, therefore, are entitled to be heard, recognition exists. When one does none of the above (internally), and does nothing they are instructed to do (externally), recognition does not exist. Furthermore, it is safe to say that those who do not recognize God given power and authority in men do not recognize God's own power or authority in their own lives.
Respect:
1. A relation to or concern
with something usually specified.
2. An act of giving particular
attention: consideration.
3. a.
high or special regard. esteem.
b.
the quality or state of being esteemed: honor.
c.
expressions of respect or deference.
4. a.
To consider worthy of high regard: esteem.
b.
to refrain from interfering with.
c.
Deference: courteous, respect-ful, or ingratiating regard for anothers wishes.
d.
Ingratiating: intended or adopted in order to gain favor.
There are few continuing in-depth interpersonal relationships and little concern for the welfare of others among Christians. There are few people Christians pay attention to or show consideration for. There are few that are shown expressions of respect and honor, or considered worthy of high regard, as evidenced by the fact that few do as they are instructed by God's leaders. And. there are few that refrain from Interfering with God's leaders clearly showing a lack of recognition or respect.
Revere: To FEAR. respect [more at wary]. To show devotion and honor to. To regard with profound respect and honor. Revere further implies deference and tenderness of feeling. Reverence suggests a SELF DENYING ACKNOWLEDGMENT of what has an intrinsic and inviolate claim to respect.
Reverence:
1. Honor or respect felt or shown: deference. esp. profound, adoring, awed
respect.
2. A gesture of respect (as a bow).
3. The state of being revered or honored.
4. One held in reverence.
Reverential:
1. Proceeding from or expressing reverence (awe).

An interesting application of the word fear as found in only two places in the Bible. Ps 34:4 and Is 66:4-5 where the meaning is "a barn, granary, fear." A barn or granary is where you store things. Right? In you are STORED UP FEARS. In Ps 34:4 David is saying that God delivered him from his stored up fears. In Is 66:4-5 God is saying that if you have no fear of His words (tremble at). He will send you some delusions to store up. Delusions bring fears. Any questions as to where some of your fears come from? This application also appears in the teaching on Spiritual Walls via a root word or two.
Because there has been No fear of God before their eyes", there
are 14 kinds of fear God must deliver us from:
| 1. Fear of man | 8. War |
| 2. Death | 9. Nothing (imaginative fears) |
